July 13, 2006: PART TWO - Tracy Aviary and Salt Lake City, Utah (13 PHOTOS)

The second half of today involved a brief trip into Salt Lake City. Most of this time was spent at the impressive Tracy Aviary. Open since 1938, it is America's longest running open bird-centric zoo. Most of the photos here are from that visit.
After that, we took a quick drive through downtown to see the Temple, and then out I-80 to see the Great Salt Lake. This shouldn't have taken too long, but we ran into a horrible accident on I-80 that delayed us an hour. We stopped around Saltair to walk on the weird, salty beach, and then headed back. A tournament in town meant no open rooms, so we drove through to Price, staying at Budget Host Inn.
