The first photos are from Oakville, Ontario.  We found a beautiful Dark-Morph Red-Tailed Hawk, photos below. Here is an interesting article about these hawks by Jean Iron:

February 8, 2009: Birding the Niagara River (Tonawanda, NY)

Today we took some time out for some birding along the Niagara River. We heard about the boat launch at the foot of Sheridan Drive being interesting lately so gave it a try. We were rewarded with some nice shots...

January 1, 2009: Birding the Lake Ontario Shore (Rochester)

We spent a little time today on the Lake Ontario Shore at Rochester, doing some birding. It was very cold! (mid-teens only). Not a whole lot of birds, but we did get our first Glaucous Gull shot, and also some interesting ice shots...
