Today we spent some time at Braddock Bay Bird Observatory again, near Rochester, for some banding and also birding in the nearby Owl Woods.

May 25, 2008: Southern Ontario Birding (Long Point and Rock Point)

Today we birded at several locations along the north shore of Lake Erie, in Southern Ontario: Long Point Bird Banding Station, and Rock Point Provincial Park. We also got some nice shots along the way in Wainfleet, Ontario..

May 17, 2008: Last Day for the Subaru Legacy!

Today is the last day for my Subaru Legacy, which just after this photo made its way to the junk-scrap metal yard :( Got just over 10 years out of it so I can't complain! (March 3, 1998 to May 17, 2008). The new Subaru Forester can be seen in the background...

May 3, 2008: Nature View Park, Amherst, New York

Today I led a hike for the Western New York Land Conservancy at Nature View Park in Amherst, NY. We saw some nice birds, like Least Flycatcher, Yellow Warbler, Blue-Winged Warbler, Eastern Towhee, Blue Jay, and first of season Rose Breasted Grosbeak and Great Crested Flycatcher. Only got a few photos though.
