July 15, 2009: San Diego Zoo

Later in the afternoon Melissa, Mark Yacucci, and I visited the San Diego Zoo. Below are some bird shots from their various aviaries.

This Double-Crested Cormorant was a wild bird visiting the zoo

This was a wild Great Blue Heron I have also seen in previous zoo visits

We stayed long enough for the Zoo's awesome bird show, (list of zoo shows), which, for a twist, was done at night!!!
