I had a bit of free time today (under an hour) to bird and take a quick hike in Rose Canyon, in the City of San Diego.. (Click for Rose Canyon Bird List) (This was the trail from the Bothe/Blocke entrance)

I came across this nest with 3 babies on the trail ...
It was a California Gnatcatcher! I quickly left so as not to disturb them! (Long lenses come in handy for this purpose!)
